Revisiting Mt. Pinatubo

Mt. Pinatubo has now become a healing hotspot for tiktokerist/s who wants to get a glimpse of the so-called "Beautiful Disaster". I have the opportunity to once again, visit this astonishing beauty. Literally it was 2 days before Christmas, there, I found myself said yes again to an invitation for a quick dayhike.

Reaching the jump-off around 4:30am, we accomplish the registration, orientation with the guides and 4x4 rental. Then proceed with the riverbed trail. When it comes to the trail, nothing has changed, what's noticeable is the flock of adventurers in there, considering it was just 2 days before Christmas. Social media has big effect in here. After 2 to 3 hrs of walking, picturesque view of the crater lake dawned right before our eyes. Astonishing as it was the first time I saw it. We only have to deal with the crowd, but nonetheless, the sight was still worth the sweat.

I was just hoping that as tourism rises, an increase on environmental awareness for its maintenance such as cleanliness will take place.

Mt. Pinatubo has always been special to me. And for the year 2023, it has given me the assurance that after all the insurmountable odds I am, in my life, it will bring good colors and immeasurable beauty carved by facing it head up high.
