ESCAPE TO TAGAYTAY

Low budget and few hours away from the metro is an ideal travel escape from everything. If you want a great escape for everything but with very limited time maybe Tagaytay is the best answer. It is a fact that it has been very popular destination in the country whether local or foreign tourist. What can you ask for; if it has good cold weather, very beautiful view of the lake & volcano, sumptuous foods, thrilling adventures and picnic area. But most of all, this is very accessible for it is 2 or 3 hours away from metro manila.

How to get there? Several buses along Edsa (from cubao/pasay) that can take you there.
Just ride the bus with Nasugbu or Balayan Batangas route and tell the driver you're going tagaytay and they'll drop you off to your destination.

Now, What to do in Tagaytay if you also have limited budget? I have here some activities for you.

• Peoples Park in the Sky - Located at the upper and near the Picnic grove. A budget friendly area for those who want to enjoy the scenery. It was like you're walking along a hill but still enjoying the cold weather. 

• Picnic Grove - This is the famous destination of tagaytay goers. You can have a very good view of the Taal while dining with your friends or family. Kite flying is also another activity you can do. And of course you can enjoy the horseback riding. Another additional adventure is the Zipline and if you don't want to get out of the place to buy souvenirs don't worry it is also available in the area.

• Sky Ranch - Another exciting activity to love tagaytay. An amusement park where the newest and larget Ferris wheel is built. You can see the entire view of Tagaytay from the top.
• Boat Ride at Taal Lake - For more adventure and close encounter to mother nature this one is really worth it.Rent a boat and experience to travel in the lake of the crater but it is prohibited when hot temperature of the water is above normal.

And of course we're in Tagytay we should try some of its sumptuous and healthy dishes.

• Sonia's Garden - Famous for its healthy foods, the Vegetable salad and also flower salad. Yes Flowers! they're serving edible flowers.
• Taal Vista Lodge - A Fine dining experience with the very majestic view of the Volcano. If you're looking for a perfect buffet experience with a cool background this must the one.

• Goto - Gotong Batangas is one the best thing to experience when you're in tagaytay.
• Bulalo - This is really sumptuous. It is really perfect for the cold weather in this place.

PASALUBONG?? You don't have to worry, anywhere you go there are vendors in the vicinity but I think when you want fruits it is more good to experience to buy with those fruit vendors along the highway. most of their Pineapple are fresh and came from their farm.  

Maybe those things were very common for everyone who visited Tagaytay but still nothing compares the joy it can bring for a moment of cold breeze of wind that touches our face and the satisfaction with the beauty of Taal Volcano.
