Baler beyond Surfing waves

If life gives you strong waves, you must learn how to surf and play with the waves. Baler is one good example for this statement literally and figuratively. One of the favorite destination in the country facing the pacific ocean that's why most of the beaches here are possessing gigantic waves and few rock formations. We got to Baler not to intent of exploring the town with usual itinerary of 3d/2n because of a Conference that we had to attend; but we also had window hours that can be used to somehow take a glimpse of the place.
We thought this wouldn't satisfy our longing for a good travel weekend experience, little did we know there are better things ahead of us.

It was a rainy friday morning when we arrived at Baler and since it's a sleepy town, there's nothing we could do but wait for few hours to be able to go around. Luckily, there's a small eatery near the municipal hall where we can have breakfast. It is also across the Baler landmark where we take a pose after breakfast. Next thing we knew was that we were heading to Ampere Beach for the rock formations. Rain didn't stop to enjoy the place, we still take a closer look but did not attemp to swim since it is prohibited. DENR regional office was the landmark for this attraction that's why caretakers has been actively looking for visitors and strictly prohibiting us to get close to the sea due to raging waves. If we continue to travel the road ahead of us, we might end up in Dinadiawan beach but we decided to get back to the town and take a rest to our accommodation since the rain is getting stronger.

Afternoon and the Next 2 days would be allotted for the main reason why we get there. The Singles for Christ Regional Conference, we just drop by the beach early in the morning to watch the sunrise and dip for a little while in the warm  and relaxing waves. This is not a travel purpose trip and blog but still I just want to share the beauty that lies in it even you only got to see selected places.

On the last day of our Conference, we decided to pass by some nearby and on the way sites before heading home. We drop by famous Hanging bridge, Ermita Hill and the Millennium Tree or the Old and biggest Balete Tree in Asia. It was a short but fulfilling trip, not to mention the misadventures we had  during the whole trip.

Someday I wanted to go back to Baler and make up for those misadventures we had. And to fully explore what's in there. I never had a long time for rest but Baler makes me feel so calm and tranquil by its promising sunrise and serenity.
